PRP for hair: process, expectations and review

What to investigate before beginning a PRP course, and why consistent photography matters.

Hair thinning has different causes, so the first step is assessment rather than injection. Pattern, duration, scalp condition and medical background all influence the recommendation.

PRP involves a blood draw, separation of platelet-rich plasma and targeted injection. Local pain, tenderness, redness or bruising may follow an appointment.

Hair changes slowly. A process should not be judged from a random photograph or immediately after one session. Images taken with similar lighting, angle and hair length make follow-up more meaningful.

PRP does not guarantee growth and does not suit every cause of hair loss. A professional consultation should cover realistic expectations, alternatives and clear review points for deciding whether to continue.
